Baptism Crafting

My apartment is covered in tulle, or “toolie” as the Greek ladies say, from all the baptism DIYs. I must admit something. I’m a huge crafting mess. The baptism is this weekend, and I just finished the martirika witness pins and now working on the lambathes candles. I’m doing all sorts of crazy things like using hair ties to secure fabrics onto candles and spray painting crosses to match their gold pins.

Did you know that if you try to glue gun fabric to a candle, the candle will melt? I bet you didn’t know that if enough super glue gets on your fingers, it does not wash off, and you cannot feel your fingertips? Or what about the fact that it’s impossible to cut tulle in a straight line? Yeah, I’m a mess over here, but let me just say that it’s a beautiful mess!  I’m contemplating making a hair bow for the baby to match her shoes. Let’s not even talk about the shoes because they are the most adorable thing on this planet. I will look back on this crafting adventure and laugh with my god-daughter, and that is what it’s all about!
